Quebeckers Submit Shocking Separatist Petition to the Federal Government of Canada

This Sunday morning, Prime Minister Steven Harper revealed a petition to the general public that had been created and signed by Quebec separatism enthusiasts containing multiple surprising demands from the provinces of 'English Canada.'
Socialist and separatist independent politician Phillippe Falardeau, who has been running for Quebec provincial office since 2002 as the unrepresented 'Legacy Party of Quebec,' created the physical petition in 2011, which currently contains the signatures of over 816,500 residents of Quebec. Other than its impressive numbers even without the aid of the internet, what is gaining this petition more attention than previous separatist petitions is what it demands.
The following are some of the estimated 980 requests on the petition that Harper has chosen to release, translated into English:
- Quebec is to receive an identical copy of the Constitution of Canada, which shall be known as the Constitution of Quebec.
- Quebec shall no longer celebrate the anniversary of the British North America Act of 1867, but Canada shall celebrate the anniversary of Quebec's independence.
- Quebec shall share the economy and military of Canada, but whenever a Canadian dollar or Canadian soldier enters the borders of Quebec, it shall be a Quebec dollar and Quebec soldier.
